NBC has announced its season finale dates for Law & Order and Chicago shows in the US.
In September 2021, the network announced it was reviving its original Law & Order series as part of its Thursday night line-up alongside Law & Order: SVU and Law & Order: Organized Crime, picking up where the show left off in 2010 when it was cancelled.
The show will come to an end on Thursday, May 19 with the Law & Order season 21 finale at 8pm, followed by the season 23 finale of Law & Order: SVU at 9pm and rounding things off with the Law & Order: Organized Crime season 2 finale at 10pm.

The following month, the Chicago spin-off series’ will air their finales on Wednesday, May 25 with Chicago Med season 7 kicking things off at 8pm, followed by Chicago Fire season 10 and Chicago P.D. season 9 concluding their runs at 9pm and 10pm respectively.
When the Law & Order revival was announced last year, franchise creator Dick Wolf spoke about bringing back the “mothership”.
There are very few things in life that are literally dreams come true. This is mine,” he said, before teasing what fans can expect with three eight-episode arcs.
“The first third of the season is The Godfather. The second third is American Gangster. And the last third is Scarface,” Wolf explained. “And these villains are going to be really bad guys that give [Detective Elliot Stabler] a constant source of energy, outrage, belief in justice and a different way of pursuing criminals than we’ve had before.”

On the Chicago Fire front, it was recently revealed that season 10 may welcome back special guest Jesse Spencer as Matthew Casey for the finale.
Casey was one of the US drama’s main characters up until October 2021 when the Firehouse 51 captain announced he would be relocating to Oregon to look after Ben and Griffin, the sons of late firefighter Andy Darden.
Showrunners Andrea Newman and Derek Haas teased that Matthew and his girlfriend Sylvie Brett could return as part of Kelly Severide and Stella Kidd’s wedding in the finale.
Law & Order: SVU airs Thursdays on NBC in the US. The show airs on Sky Witness in the UK, with select episodes available on NOW. Chicago Fire airs on NBC in the US and on Sky Witness in the UK.
